A postcard image of the mysterious
Superstition Mountains rising above the desert floor with its
magnificent stands of the saguaro cactus is the backdrop of Arizona Acres. Our
park is a friendly 55+ community, where neighbors know neighbors, and residents
enjoy outdoor activities such as shuffleboard, horseshoes, and swimming in the
year-round heated pool, in a setting of beautiful rugged mountains surrounding
the East Valley of Mesa.
You’ll have fun playing billiards, bingo, poker, pinochle and curling.
You’ll eat well at the potluck dinners and Saturday morning pancake breakfasts
prepared in the full kitchen of our clubhouse. Thanksgiving and Christmas
dinners are annual events.
In the springtime take a drive along the Apache Trail to explore the
desert in bloom with carpets of color bursting in brilliant shades of gold,
reds, pinks, purple and more. Visit the establishments of the authentic
Goldfield Ghost Town that played host to thirsty miners and shady ladies.
Experience the treat of prickly pear ice cream at the tiny settlement of
Tortilla Flat, a stagecoach stop over a hundred years ago.
As American as apple pie… is the smell of peanuts and popcorn while
taking in one of the Chicago Cubs exciting spring training baseball games here
in Mesa. Nearby Phoenix is the home of professional baseball, basketball,
football, hockey teams and NASCAR racing. If golf is your game, take your best
shot at one of Mesa’s challenging golf courses. Arizona’s climate makes Mesa a
great golfing destination year-round.
If shopping is your interest, stroll beautiful downtown Mesa and check
out the unique shops offering high fashion to quaint, handmade fashion
accessories. Enjoy a sidewalk display of cultural art along Mesa’s downtown
streets where artists from across the country display their fine pieces of
sculpture. During the Christmas season, downtown Mesa offers a glorious display
of lights.
