Overview

El Rio de Oro Mobile Home Park is a 55 and older community, located in the Verde Valley, minutes from the base of beautiful Mingus Mountain.

From just about anywhere in the park you can see the mountains along the West/North West horizon.  If it happens to be a clear day, you can see the historic town of Jerome, AZ. We are also a few minutes from the historic downtown areas of Cottonwood and Clarkdale.

Spend your days wandering around the antique stores of Cottonwood, golfing at any of the courses in the area; two which are just minutes away or site seeing on the Verde Canyon railroad; take a site seeing trip to any number of places in the surrounding area. There are different package options for the train rides, take a day trip or go and come back the next day. Prices vary and reservations strongly recommended.

There are several hiking trails in the area or take a 30-minute ride into Sedona where hiking in the beautiful red rocks is also an option. Sedona offers jeep tours, helicopter rides, planes rides or take a hot air balloon ride and see Sedona and all the surrounding area from the air. Many packages and options are available for any of the great adventures. At the end of the day or during, don’t forget all the great places to eat in any of the above-mentioned towns.

Having one entrance into the park, you can get to the clubhouse by going either left or right. It is located right in the middle of all the homes and is about equal distance for those at each end of the park. Driving up and around the far end, go visit the fishpond and watch the birds.

The Valley Verde Birding and Nature Festival is held every year at Dead Horse Ranch State Park In Cottonwood, Arizona.
